Please note that you can also navigate to greencode via the URL http://www.codigo-verde.com.

The site greencode was born with the goal that any person can publish informative or educational resources about Deno, Fresh, or Preact, three technologies that have gradually been gaining popularity in the software development world. You can call "resource" to the content of various types such as blogs, videos, projects (websites in production), books, or any other.

Sharing content

Follow the steps below to submit a resource:

1. Choose the topic

From the Home page access the technology you want, clicking on the corresponding image.

You will be redirected to the page of the chosen topic. There will appear a description of the technology as well as a brief history of it and its main characteristics.

In the Resources section, click the "share by clicking here" link.

2. Sign in

You will be redirected to a form where you must register the resource's data: the title, the topic (the technology chosen), the type (blog, video, etc), and the URL. All of these fields will be inactive if you are not yet authenticated, so you must press the "Sign in to submit" button. You will be asked to sign up through your GitHub account, which authentication method used is Oauth.

3. Enter resource data

For the information to be classified effectively, you must take into account the following recommendations:

  • If the topic is Deno, you should only post links to material that refers exclusively to Deno, not Fresh or Preact.
  • If the topic is Fresh, you should post links to material whose main topic is Fresh, which could also include references to Deno or Preact without losing focus on Fresh.
  • If the topic is Preact, you should only post links to material that refers exclusively to Preact, not Deno or Fresh.

4. Send the data

Once the data has been entered, press the "Submit" button. This action will take you back to the home page. The new resource will appear at the bottom of the screen. 🚀

Upcoming features

Little by little we improve for you, that is why we are considering adding the following features:

  • Contributing to the Blog: Until now you can share content from external sources. We want you can apport with articles on our site, therefore, in future versions of greencode, markdown file attachments will be available. This will allow you to contribute posts within the Blog section. However, the publication will not be immediate and it will be subject to verification, which could take a very few business days.

  • Visor of cover: It will be possible to view a cover of the resource, maybe by hovering the mouse over its link, however, we are looking at alternatives.

  • Toggle theme: We will include a button to switch between dark mode and light mode visual style themes.

  • 100% responsive: The site is built in Deno and Fresh, which uses Preact by default. The idea is to improve as we assimilate these technologies! There are still pages that are not responsive and we are working on it. We want to provide you with a good user experience with devices of any size. 😊
